What to Expect During Your PlasmaMD Pen Treatment

Each Plasma Pen treatment begins with the application of a numbing cream to the treatment area, ensuring your comfort during the procedure. After the anesthetic takes effect, your provider will pass the Plasma Pen device over the affected area.

What are the advantages of using Plasma Pen vs. Botox?

Both the Plasma Pen and Botox treat fine lines and wrinkles, but only the Plasma Pen can address other signs of aging such as sagging skin and skin discoloration. Furthermore, Botox must be repeated every 3–6 months, whereas Plasma Pen treatment results are visible for years. What is recovery like?

The healing process involves slight redness, swelling and scabbing. The pinpoint microtraumas from the Plasma Pen device will turn into tiny scabs that will fall off after 5–10 days.

Immediately following a Plasma Pen treatment, avoid exercise or exposing yourself to any heat, steam or sweat. Do not pick at scabs and refrain from shaving the treated area until it has fully healed. During the healing process, avoid applying:
