Christy Householder, LVN (formerly Bunyan) is a nurse injector, licensed aesthetician and veteran laser technician who loves helping clients improve their skin health. She began her career in 1996 at a local dermatology office with 4 dermatologists who taught her about skin problems, skin health and skin care. How to help clients improve the health and look of their skin through different modalities. She then broadened her knowledge of facial aesthetics working with plastic surgeons for 3 years, then added a year of obstetrics and gynecology to her resume which helped her understand how women’s skin changes due to hormonal influences during the different stages of life.

In 2007 she joined our office under Dr. Christie Matter and Dr. Susanne Lockhart and broadened her knowledge even more when she was trained on injectables and added this to her vast array of treatment options and skills. She enjoyed learning how Botox, Dysport and fillers could restore volume, help improve asymmetries, soften lines and return someone’s smile. “Having patient’s confidence return by making small changes to the areas that really bothered them is very rewarding.”

“I love meeting with patients, discussing what they would like to change or improve, talk about how our bodies, face and skin ages and then finding a solution to meet their goals. It is very important to me that my patients have a natural and normal look after procedures, but especially with injectables and fillers. If someone walks up to a patient and says their filler looks good, then I didn’t do my job very well. I want the patients to look great, but never overdone and overfilled. I am happy that I can offer many treatments to patients to enhance their skin. Acne scars, sun damage, unwanted pigment issues can negatively affect a person and we have many options to improve, enhance or erase these conditions.”

Continuing education is very important to Christy. She enjoys staying on top of the latest advances in skincare, products, technologies and lasers as well as incorporating new injection techniques learned from the best plastic surgeons in the country. In fact, it was her love of learning and how to better affect positive skincare and skin health that led her to achieve her LVN certification in October, 2021. She is currently working towards her RN license with the hopes of using this additional medical knowledge to do Medical Missions with her church.

Christy and her husband Joe live in McKinney. They enjoy their grandkids, spending time with family and friends and jet skiing at the lake during the summer.

She is currently accepting patients of all ages and offers complimentary consultations for treatments, procedures, and products.
